一、学校简介About Henan Polytechnic
河南职业技术学院创建于1954年。1999年3月，经国家教育部批准改制为新型高等职业院校。先后被认定为国家示范性高职院校、国家优质专科高等职业院校、国家“双高计划”建设单位。学院入选50所全国创新创业典型经验高校和全国高等职业院校教学资源50强高校，首批国家高技能人才培养示范基地、国家级现代学徒制试点院校、国家首批1+X证书制度试点院校、全国毕业生就业典型经验高校、河南省“双高工程”建设单位、河南省内部质量保证体系建设试点院校、河南省职业教育先进单位。
Henan Polytechnic was established in December 1954. In March 1999, it was restructured into a new type of higher vocational college approved by the Ministry of Education. It was successively authorized as National Demonstrative Higher Vocational College, a National High-quality Vocational College and as the national "Double High Plan” Construction Unit. In addition, the college is elected as Top 50 universities in innovation and entrepreneurship and as Top 50 universities in teaching resources of higher vocational colleges, also identified as the first batch of national high-skilled talent training demonstration bases, national modern apprenticeship pilot college, the first batch of national 1+X certificate system pilot colleges, “Typical Experience University for Graduate Employment”. Meanwhile, Henan Polytechnic is selected as “Double High Plan” construction unit, Henan Provincial pilot college for internal quality assurance system construction and is honored as advanced units of vocational education in Henan province.
学校位于河南省会郑州市，占地面积1240亩，建筑面积近55万平方米，各类纸质电子图书藏量160余万册，教学设备总值近2亿元，固定资产12余亿元，总资产近15亿元，全日制高职在校生2.1万余人，与中原工学院联办本科在校生近400人，现有专兼职教师1177人，其中教授、副教授200余人，二级教授3人，享受国务院津贴5人，国家“万人计划”教学名师1人，全国优秀教师2人，全国高校思想政治理论教学能手1人；河南省职教专家7人，省级教学名师6人，省级优秀教师8人，省学术技术带头人17人，设有10个二级学院，现有机电一体化技术等50个招生专业。学院拥有各类金属切削机床、数控车床、铣床、加工中心和数控电火花机床等300余台，拥有各类实验实训室200余个，具有仿真或真实职业实践氛围。学院还与苹果公司、许继集团、浙江开元旅业集团等200多家知名企业，联合建立了长期稳定的校外实习基地。学校还与微软（中国）、大唐、通用等300余家知名企业建立了深度合作关系，开设“苹果A+雏鹰计划”等订单班近40个。
Henan Polytechnic lies on Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province. It covers an area of 1,240 Mu, with a building area of around 550,000 square meters. It has a collection of more than 1.6 million books, plus electronic books. Within total assets of nearly 200 million yuan, and more than 1.2 billion yuan in fixed assets. Over 21,000 full-time higher vocational students study in the college now, plus approximate 400 undergraduate students from cooperated project with Zhongyuan University of Technology. Currently, 1,177 full-time and part-time teachers, including over 200 professors and associate professors, teach inside the campus, with 5 teachers enjoying State Council allowances, 1 teacher belonging to prominent educator in national “Ten Thousand Plan”, 2 National Outstanding teachers, 1 theoretical teaching expert about Ideological and Political Theories in National Universities. There are current 7 Henan Vocational Education Experts, 6 provincial-level famous teachers, 8 Provincial Excellent Teachers and 17 provincial academic and technical leaders. The college has 10 secondary colleges and 50 enrollment majors such as Electro-Mechanical Integration Technology. In addition, the college holds more than 300 various metal-cutting machine, CNC lathes, milling machines, machining centers, CNC EDM machines, and more than 200 varied experimental training rooms together, which all creates simulation or real professional practice atmosphere here. Meanwhile, a group of long-term stable off-campus internship bases are set up jointly with over 200 well-known companies such as Apple, Xu Ji Group and Zhejiang Kaiyuan Tourism Group. The college is also in deep cooperation with more than 300 famous companies like Microsoft China, Datang and General Electric Company and sets up over 40 order classes such as “Apple A+ Eyas Program”.
学校坚持教育国际化战略，不断加大对外交流与合作力度，现有1个中外合作办学机构，并与马来西亚国民大学、美国夏威夷大学、意大利加尔托斯职业教育学院等多个境外知名高校开展合作办学项目。目前，学校已招收来自巴基斯坦、埃塞俄比亚、加纳、也门、坦桑尼亚、津巴布韦等多个“一带一路”沿线国家留学生。参与“一带一路”沿线国家教育文化交流，在意大利佳尔都斯学院、华人餐饮协会、米兰中国文化中心推出“豫厨工坊”特色品牌，对来自6个国家的留学生进行中国文化教育，推动河南技术、河南文化、河南理念走出国门。
The college sticks to educational international strategy and keeps promoting transnational communication and cooperation. It has one Sino-foreign cooperative education project and also has jointly trained students with many well-known overseas universities such as the National University of Malaysia, the University of Hawaii in the United States and Galdus Academy in Italy. Henan Polytechnic currently enrolls international students from the “Belt and Road” countries, such as Pakistan, Ethiopia, Ghana, Yemen, Tanzania, Zimbabwe. In order to spread Henan’s technology, culture, and concept and have foreign students involved in Chinese cultural education, the college also participates in the educational and cultural exchanges of the countries along the “Belt and Road” and launches the “Yu Henan Chef’s Workshop” brand at the Italian Galdus Academy, the Chinese Restaurant Association and the Chinese Cultural Center of Milan.

Henan Polytechnic, with distinctive characteristics and outstanding achievements, gains wide acclaim from community. In recent years, the college occupied the 16th in all national higher vocational colleges in the first Rankings on training of innovative talents in Chinese universities released by the China Higher Education Association. According to “China Higher Vocational College Competitiveness Rankings” in 2018 jointly issued by the China Science & Education Evaluation Research Institute and other departments, the college received 5-star ranking, then entering the top 100 universities in the country.
二、入学篇On Arrival
（一）接机服务Pick-up service

After successful application, students should complete all the preparation for admission, and book flights, then through the mailbox sie@hnzj.edu.cn to submit the booking application for airport pickup. We will contact you after receiving the application.

（二）到校指南How to get to the university
郑州新郑国际机场距离河南职业技术学院约40公里，你可乘坐出租车或地铁到校。
Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport is about 40 km from Henan Polytechnic, you may choose to get here by taxi or subway:
你可以从机场乘坐出租车到河南职业技术学院南门，车费约60-70元（白天和晚上价格不一样）
It will cost you RMB 60-70 from the airport to the dormitory (The fee varies from day to night).
（三）居留许可申请Residence permit application
1.新生持X2签证入境后，须在入境后24小时内到学校所在地派出所进行临时住宿登记，否则，视为过期。持X1签证的新生，须在入境后30天内完成居留许可申请手续；
After entering the country with a X2 visa, the new students shall register for temporary accommodation at the local police station of the school within 24 hours; otherwise, the visa will be deemed as expired. New students with X1 visa must complete residence permit application procedures within 30 days after entry.
2.新生到校报到后，需持护照及二张2寸白色照片到河南国际旅行卫生保健中心体检，体检费自理；
After arrival at the school, the new students shall go to Henan International Travel Health Center for physical examination with their passports and three 2-inch white photos. The fee for physical examination will be paid by the students themselves.
3.体检合格的新生，需到国际教育学院填写相关材料，然后到郑州市出入境管理处办理居留许可。体检不合格的新生，必须立即出境回国。签证时需提供护照、JW202表、外国人签证、居留许可申请表、录取通知书、交学费证明、一张2寸照片、体检结果证明、派出所出具的“临时住宿登记”等相关材料。
New students who pass the physical examination shall fill in relevant documents at the school of international education of the university, and then apply for residence permit at the Exit and Entry Administration Office of Zhengzhou. New students who fail the physical examination must go back to their own country immediately. When applying the visa, passport, JW202 form, valid visa, residence permit application form, admission letter, proof of paid tuition fee, a 2-inch photo, physical examination result, temporary accommodation registration issued by the police station and other relevant materials should be submitted.
（四）报到注册New students registration
1.报到注册时间及地点Registration time and place
时间：新生必须在学校规定时间内报到。无法按时报到者，应在开学前至少2周告知学校，经学校同意后方可延期入学，否则，将被取消入学资格。
Time: New students must register within the prescribed time. Students who fail to register on time should inform the school at least 2 weeks before the start of the semester and can only postpone the enrollment with the school's consent, otherwise, their admission will be canceled.
新生须在入境后24小时内到校报到注册。无法报到注册者，应在离临时住宿处最近的派出所办理临时住宿手续。
New students must report for registration within 24 hours of arrival. Those unable to register should apply for temporary accommodation at the nearest police station.

2.报到注册所需材料Required materials for registration
新生报到注册时须提供有效护照、X签证、录取通知书、JW202表、体检报告、护照尺寸照片8张、保险单。
New students must provide valid passport, X visa, admission letter, JW202 form, physical examination report, 8 passport size photos and insurance receipt.
注：学习时间在6个月以下的新生，学校可根据自身情况要求其在境外或中国大陆购买符合规定标准的保险。未购买符合规定标准保险的在校生，学校将予以退学或不予注册。
Note: for new students who have studied for less than 6 months, the university may require them to purchase insurance that meets the prescribed standards abroad or in mainland China according to their own conditions. Students who do not purchase insurance in accordance with the prescribed standards will be dismissed from school or not registered.
3.学费缴纳Tuition payment
新生报到注册时，按学年一次性缴纳全部学习费用。
When the new students are registered, they shall pay all the tuition fees based on the academic year.
三、学习篇Study
（一）教学管理规定Regulations on Teaching Management of International Students
1. 国际学生应勤奋学习，努力完成学习任务。要自觉遵守学习纪律，不得迟到早退，不得无故缺课，有事先请假；
The students must be diligent in their studies and work hard to complete their tasks of learning. Students should obey school disciplines, and do not arrive late or leave early or be absent for class. If students cannot attend class, they should ask for permission in advance.
2. 外国国际学生应严格遵守学习纪律，按时上下课，认真听讲。上课时间不得随便出入教室、吸烟和吃零食。
The students must keep to study discipline. They are not allowed to enter or leave the classroom at will, or to smoke or eat during class.
3. 外国国际学生因病、因事请假，应办理请假手续，凡未经请假或超假者，一律以旷课论处。因病请假，须有医生证明，经学生辅导员或所在院系负责人批准方为有效。
Requests for sick leave or personal leave should be reported to his/her counsellor or their faculty’s leader in advance. Any leave without prior request or beyond reported time constitutes truancy. Students asking for sick leave should inform his/her counsellor or the director of the faculty by submitting medical proof. The leave is only valid when approval is obtained.
4. 国际学生享受我国的节假日及学校的寒暑假。学生本国的重大节日学校不予准假，如学生请假，可酌情准假，但不补课。此种请假，每学年不能超过两次，每次不超过1天。
The Chinese national holidays and the winter/summer holidays are available to the international students. However, the holidays of the international students’ own nations are not available. Special leave permission may be given to the international students who apply, without making up the missing classes. Such special leave permission should be given less than two times a year, with each leave within one day a time.
5. 为了保证正常的教学，学习期间不得请假旅游。
To maintain a regular order for teaching, the students are prohibited from asking for leave to travel while school is in session.
6. 国际学生在校期间不得私自谋职。
While studying, the international students are not allowed to take up jobs by themselves privately.
7.学生修业期满，成绩合格者，发给毕业证；成绩不合格者，只发给结业证书。
The students who have passed the examinations at the end of their studies will be granted diplomas. Those who have failed the examination will be granted certificates of completion of studies but will not receive a diploma.
8. 凡卖淫、嫖娼、吸毒者，一律开除学籍。
Any student who solicits or becomes a sex worker or uses drugs is subject to being expelled from the university.
9. 学校有权根据具体违纪情节，取消其部分/全部奖学
Henan Polytechnic has the right to cancel part or all of their scholarship according to the specific violation of discipline.
（二）学籍管理规定Regulations on the management of study
1、考勤Attendance：
(1)因病、因事请假，应提前一天向任课老师或辅导员请假；
When students need to ask for leave due to illness or other arrangement, they should inform the teacher or counsellor one day before the class.
(2)为保证正常的教学秩序，迟到早退三次按旷课一次论处；
To ensure normal teaching order, three late arrivals or early departures will be considered as one absence.
(3)一学期因病、事假累计达到四周者，学校将对其劝退。因病、事假不能坚持学习并提出申请者，可以申请退学；
If you cannot attend class for at least 4 weeks during one term, the school will ask you leave. If you cannot keep studying due to illness or other arrangement, you can apply to drop out.
2、离校Leaving School：
(1)国际学生离校（转学、休学、退学、毕业）须提前通知到国际教育学院，并退还学生证，离校当日由工作人员检查房间物品，收回房间钥匙，如果没有问题, 退还学生押金。
International students should notify the School of International Education in advance on conditions of school transference, suspension, withdrawal, or graduation. Overseas students should return student card. On the leaving day, the teacher will check apartment, take back the key. If everything goes well and there is no loss in dormitory, you can get your deposit.
(2)应离校的国际学生，须在接到通知之日一周内离校；
Students should leave school within one week after getting notification from School of International Education.
（3）学习期间国际学生离开郑州或出境，须向国际教育学院报告，并向辅导员请假。
When you leave Zhengzhou or leave China in the middle of school term, you should report to School of International Education, and ask for leave from your counsellor.
（三）学业管理规定Management regulations on Academic
1、考核与成绩记载Assessment and Academic Record
(1)学生应当参加学校教育教学计划规定的课程和相关教育教学环节（以下统称课程）的考核，考核成绩记入成绩册，并归入本人档案。
Students should take assessment of the courses and other curricular activities as required by the curriculum (hereafter all referred as courses). The result of assessment will be kept in the transcript and filed in the student personal record.
(2)考核分为考试和考查两种。考核合格获得该门课程的学分。
There are two ways of assessments; examination and pass/fail assessment. Only those who pass assessments can earn the credits of the course.
（3）学生因病住院治疗或其它特殊原因不能参加课程考试的，应当在考前申请缓考，经学院同意，缓考该课程。缓考成绩按正常考试成绩记载。如考核含有实验或其他环节成绩，则由该课程的原任课教师提供，并计入期末总成绩。
If the student who cannot take the examination because of some reason such as illness, hospitalization, etc., can apply for delaying the examination in advance, permitted by the school, and arranged by the School of International Education. A delayed examination should be equally effective in the student’s academic record as the normal one. In case the assessment of the course includes experiment(s), or other links, the previous teacher is responsible for providing the mark/grade, which will be integrated into the final assessment result.
（4）学生违反考试纪律作弊或无故旷考的，该门课程成绩将按零分记载，并视其违纪或者作弊情节，给予批评教育和相应的纪律处分（处分包括警告、严重警告、记过、留校察看、开除等）。不得参加正常补考，只能参加毕业前补考。若经教育表现较好，该课程可以给予重修机会。
Misconduct, such as cheating during the examination or absence from an examination with no reason will lead to a zero mark of the course. The offenders will be criticized and subject to disciplinary action which includes warning, serious warning, recorded demerit, disciplinary probation, expulsion, etc. The offenders will not be allowed to take the normal make-up examination until before graduation. But a chance to retake the course will be given on condition that they have behaved well afterwards.
(5)学校对学生实行出勤制度，学生不能按时参加教学计划规定的活动，应当事先请假并获得批准，未履行请假手续的按旷课处理。未履行请假手续或者请假未经批准而缺席者，根据《河南职业技术学院学生违纪处分管理规定》给予批评教育，情节严重的给予纪律处分（处分包括警告、严重警告、记过，留校察看、开除学籍等）。学生请病假须提供医院证明，学生请假时间不超过两天由辅导员审批，两天以上不超过两周的或需要离开郑州市的，由国际教育学院领导审批后，交由合作交流处备案；特殊情况请假时间超过两周的，报分管校领导批准。除急病或有急事外，一律不得事后补假。学生请假期满归校后应及时向所在国际教育学院销假。放假期间学生需要离开郑州市的也需遵照此条执行。
Attendance of curricular activities is mandatory. Leave of absence must be applied for and approved in advance; otherwise, the offender will be criticized or even subject to disciplinary action according to Penalty for Violating the Rules of Henan Polytechnic Students, which includes warning, serious warning, recorded demerit, disciplinary probation, expulsion, etc. Sick leave application should be submitted with medical certificate issued by the doctor. Application for compassionate leave of absence no longer than 2 days can be approved by the teacher in charge of his/her class; Application longer than 2 days but within 2 weeks for students who need to leave Zhengzhou City for some reason should be approved by the head of the School of International Education and be kept in the student’s record. Leave longer than 2 weeks needs to be permitted by vice president of Henan Polytechnic. Except under such circumstances as acute disease or a matter of great urgency, a late application for leave will not be accepted. Students should report to his/her college right after they come back from their leave. International students who leave Zhengzhou should also go through the procedure in this clause.
(6)一学期单科课程出勤率超过三分之二者方可考试。
Students with an attendance of one third and above for a course including leave time may sit for the examination.
2、课程重修Courses Retaking
（此条仅适用于学历制国际学生, 短期课程国际学生仅可参加）
(This clause only applies to Junior College international students. Students in short-term course only can attend makeup examination.)
(1)重修范围
Students who are involved:
学生课程学习属于下列情况之一者，必须重修；
Under the following circumstances, student should retake the courses:
课程考试不及格，未取得该课程学分的；
Students who failed the course exam and did not get the credit for the course.
未经学院批准无故不参加课程考核，在考试中作弊，成绩以零分记录，后经教育良好者；
Students who have such misconduct as cheating during the examination or absence from an examination with no reason and behave well afterwards.
一门课程缺课累计超过总课时数三分之一，不允许参加正常考试和补考者;
Students who have an accumulative absenteeism exceeding one third of the total class hours for a single course and consequently not allowed to sit for the examination as well as its makeup examination.
其它原因未取得课程成绩者。
Students who don’t have an exam mark for other reasons.
(2)重修时间与方式
Arrangement for courses retaking
次数不限，但参加重修的学生必须在规定的学制年限内完成重修课程的学习和考试，否则需延长学年完成学业。
There is no limit for retaking times, but students have to complete their retaken courses within the period specified by the college. If not, graduation should be delayed.
随班重修和考试。
Students have to join the class of lower grade for their courses to be retaken.
(3)重修课程的考试与成绩记载
Assessment and Academic Record for the Retaken Course
批准参加重修的学生必须参加考试，否则以零分记载重修成绩。
Students who apply for course retaking and then be granted approval from the college are required to sit for the examination. Failure to attend the examination will lead to a zero mark.
成绩及格者按实际分数记载。
For students who pass the make-up exam, the actual earned score will be recorded.
(4)重修收费与重修程序
Fee and Procedure for Courses Retaking
需重修的学生在规定的时间内到所在学院办理重修报名手续，逾期不予办理。按学校相关规定，重修学生需缴纳再次重修费用。
Students who need to retake courses are supposed to go through related procedure with the college and fill in an application for courses retaking within the period as required. Application will not be processed if overdue. Students should pay the retaking fee according to Henan Polytechnic’s regulation.
3、升级与留级Promotion to a Higher Grade and Repetition of an Academic Year’s Work
(1)学生学完本学年教学计划规定的课程，经考核成绩及格者，准予升级。
Students who complete the courses as required with passing marks or above will be promoted to a higher grade.
(2)学生有下列情形，应予留级，毕业年级学生不允许留级。
Under the following circumstances, a student should repeat a year. Students in graduating year are not allowed to repeat.
一学年内累计有三分之一课程考核不合格（含旷考、考核违纪、取消考核资格课程）的；
Failure to pass the one third courses in one academic year (including being absent from exam, violating exam discipline, and canceling his/her exam eligibility)；
(3)学生留级前某些课程考核成绩达到及格以上水平的课程，在留级后，允许免修。
Students who repeat a grade don’t have to take the courses that he or she passed before their repetition.
(4)学生在校学习期间留级不得连续两次，累计不得超过两次；
Students cannot take two consecutive grade-repetitions; and the accumulated should be no more than twice.
(5)留级学生，按原标准学费、住宿费。
Grade-repetition students should pay tuition and fees as required for his or her original batch.
4、转学Transfer to Other Universities
(1)学生确有特殊困难，无法继续在学校学习的，可以申请转学。转入其它院校者，提交申请并先后由学院领导分管副校长签署意见，经国际教育学院与拟转入学校联系，由转入学校审核同意，并报中华人民共和国河南省郑州市出入境管理处取消居留许可后方可转出。
Students who do have certain difficulties and thus cannot continue their study at Henan Polytechnic, may apply for a transference to another university. To transfer out of the University, the student must go through the necessary procedures: A written application should be submitted and be sanctioned firstly by college leaders and then by Henan Polytechnic president or vice president. The School of International Education will then contact the university into which the student is going to transfer for related official document of accepting the student. Then Administration Division of Exit and Entry of Zhengzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau in P.R.C. will be reported to cancel his /her residence permit.
(2)学生有下列情形之一，不得转出：
The following conditions exclude the transfer of universities:
入学未满一学期的；
Having studied in the university for less than one semester.
其他无正当理由的。
Without any proper reason.
5、休学与复学Suspension and Resuming of Schooling
(1)学生可以分阶段完成学业。
Students may complete their study in separate stages.
(2)学生有下列情况之一者，应予休学：
Students can be subject to suspension under any one of the following situations:
因病经指定医院诊断，患有疾病或受伤,需停课治疗超过一学期总学时三分之二者；或者在某些疾病的情况下，学生可以休学。
In the event that a student is diagnosed with an illness or injury that is expected to cause their being unable to attend more than two thirds of the total credit hours for the semester (due to recovery, treatment), or in the event of certain diseases, a student may suspend their study at the College.
根据出勤请假超过一学期总学时三分之二者;
Students who have requested leave, and the accumulative leave is over one third of the total credit hours of one semester as determined by attendance record, may be subject to suspension.
因某种特殊原因，本人申请学校同意或学校认为必须休学者。
Students may apply for suspension due to special circumstances by submitting an application or may receive suspension from the College if circumstances warrant such actions.
(3)学生申请休学或者按要求应当休学者，由所在学院和国际教育学院批准，可以休学。学生休学一般以一学期为期限，特殊情况经批准可以续休，学生累计休学年限不得超过一年。
Students who apply for a suspension due to special circumstances by submitting an application or may receive suspension from the college if circumstances warrant such actions and the suspension usually is within one semester. If special circumstance occurs, the student can renew his /her suspension after getting permission. But the accumulated suspension time cannot exceed one year.
(4)学校不提倡学生学习期间结婚。学生结婚后妊娠、生育不宜在校学习、生活的可予休学。
The college does not encourage marriage during the schooling years. If the student gets pregnant or has given birth to child and is therefore inappropriate to study and live at the university, she may have a suspension of schooling.
(5)休学学生应当办理休学手续离校，学校保留其学籍。学生休学期间，不享受在校学习学生待遇。休学期间的管理责任由学生本人及其家属负责。
Student who has suspended schooling shall leave the university campus after going through necessary procedure. During the suspension period, the person will no longer enjoy the status of an enrolled student. Students themselves and their relatives are held responsible for their safety of the students during the period of suspension.
学生休学期满，应当于前一学期结束前两周内向学校提出复学申请，经学校审查合格，方可复学。对在休学期间发生严重违反中国法律法规行为的国际学生，取消其复学资格。
When the suspension period is due to expire, the student should send application to resume schooling two weeks before the end of the previous semester. It must be approved by the college before the student can resume schooling. Students who seriously violate Chinese laws and regulations during the suspension period will be disqualified from resuming schooling.
6、退学Dropping Out of School
国际学生可于每学期开学前三日内向国际教育学院提交申请退学（必须本人提出），经学校同意退还其全部学费；若三日后再提出申请，将不予与退还现金，可在学生提出申请的前提下保留其学费1年，若一年内该学生不到学校继续学习，则不给予保留。（学费不可转赠他人）
Only when the withdrawal is submitted three days prior to opening of the term (and it must be from the student himself), with the permission of School of International Education will refund the full tuition fee; otherwise the tuition fee will not be refunded or transferred to other student, but will reserve their place for only one year under the student’s application.
(1)学生有下列情形之一，应予退学：
Under the following circumstances, a student should be dismissed.
一学年累计二分之一课程考核不合格（含旷考、考核违纪、取消考核资格课程）的；
Failure to pass a half courses in one academic year（including being absent from exam, violating exam discipline, and canceling his/her exam eligibility）；
休学期满未按条款提出复学申请或者申请复学经审查不合格的；
Not sending in application to resume schooling as required after the suspension period has ended, or not being able to pass the re-examination of application to resume and therefore not approved to resume schooling.
经学校指定医院诊断，患有疾病或意外伤残无法继续在校学习的；
Incapable of keeping on study in the college due to accidental disability or diseases diagnosed by the prescribed hospital of the University.
未请假或请假未获批准离校连续二周或一学期内累计四周未参加学校规定的教学活动的；
Being absent from the school without asking for leave, or asked but not approved, thus not being able to participate in the required curricular activities for 2 continuous weeks or cumulatively for 4 weeks in one semester.
超过学校规定期限未注册而又无正当事由的；
Failure to make registration before deadline without proper reasons.
达到休学条件而不休学，经说服无效者；
Being talked to but refuse to suspend their study when they are subject to suspension.
本人申请退学的。
Willing to withdraw from the college.
取消学籍、已退学的学生不得申请复学。
Students dismissed are not allowed to resume their study at the college.
未能及时缴纳学费和住宿费者。
Students who are unable to pay out their tuition and accommodation fee as required are subject to suspension.
(2)已退学的学生，应报公安局出入境管理处取消居留许可并在规定的期限内离境。
Student who has dropped out of school must be reported to Zhengzhou Exit-Entry Administration Bureau to cancel their resident permit and then exit from China within the time limit as required.
7、学习年限Period of Schooling
汉语专业的进修生的学习期限为半年至1年,职业技能培训生学习期限为半年至1年，专科生在校学习期限为三年。在规定的学习期限内无法完成学业的专科国际学生可以申请延长学习年限，延长最长不得超过1年。
The length of program is as follows: Chinese study is half a year to one year; the learning period of vocational skills trainees is half a year to one year, the study period of junior college students is three years. It is possible for Junior College students who are unable to complete the courses as required within the allotted time to apply to extend their study for at most one years.
8、毕业、结业与肄业Graduation, Completion of the Curriculum and Completion of the Courses
(1)学生修完教育教学计划规定内容，达到毕业要求，准予毕业，发给毕业证书。
Student who has completed the courses required by the curriculum, and reached the standard established for graduation, can graduate and be conferred the diploma.
(2)学生修完教育教学计划规定内容，未达到毕业要求，准予毕业，发给结业证书。结业后在最长年限内可以重修有关课程，达到毕业要求，可以用结业证书换发毕业证书，毕业时间按发证日期填写。
Student who has completed the courses required by the curriculum, but has not reached the standard established for graduation, may finish the study and will be issued a Certificate of Completion of Study. Within the period specified by the college, the student may retake the relevant courses. Once the standard for graduation is reached, the student may change the Certificate of Completion of Study to the Diploma; the date of graduation will be the date of issuance of the diploma.
(3)学满一学年以上退学的学生，学校颁发肄业证书。
Student who has completed more than one academic year of study and then dropped out will be issued a Certificate of Study.
(4)毕业、结业、肄业证书遗失或者损坏不予补发，经本人申请，学校核实后出具相应的证明书。
Diploma, Certificate for Completion of Study, or Certificate of Study, if lost or damaged, will not be re-issued, but the owner can send application to the college, and if the case is verified to be true, the college will issue a document certifying the corresponding status.
四、校园生活Campus Life
（一）公寓管理规定Dormitory Regulations
1、在校学习期间应注意自身和财物安全。离开宿舍要落锁，关闭电灯、电器和水阀。
During the period of their study, the students should pay attention to the safety of themselves and their belongings. Turn off lights, appliances and water valves when leaving the dormitory.
2、宿舍的钥匙不得随意转借他人，严禁私自换锁、配钥匙或另加门锁。门锁损坏时应告知宿舍管理员，由宿舍管理员通知学校后勤处前来更换。
The key to the dormitory is not allowed to be lent to others. It is strictly forbidden to change the lock, duplicate the key or add another lock. When lock to the door is damaged, the dormitory administrator should be informed, and he or she should inform the school logistics department to replace it.
3、房间内一切设备、设施系学校财产，仅供国际学生本人使用。请爱护室内的各种家具、设备。不准用电炉、电器在宿舍内取暖、做饭。不得随意与其他房间调换家具；不得毁坏室内设施和床上用品。如有损坏或丢失，照价赔偿。
All the equipment and facilities in the room are the property of the school and are only for the use of international students. Please take good care of all kinds of indoor furniture and equipment. Electric stove and electric appliances are not allowed to heat and cook in the dormitory. Do not exchange furniture with other rooms at will; Do not damage indoor facilities and bedding. In case of damage or loss, compensation will be made according to the price.
4、宿舍内严禁私自装修，严禁破坏、改变房屋结构和功能。
It is forbidden to decorate the dormitory without permission. It is forbidden to destroy or change the structure and function of the dormitory.
5、保持宿舍清洁，不得在壁上乱涂乱画，不得随意钉钉子；不得饲养家禽、家畜；不准在床上吸烟；禁止酗酒、斗殴和其他不良行为，违者视情节给予警告、开除学籍等处分。
Keep the dormitory clean, do not scribble on the wall, do not nail at will. It is forbidden to raise poultry, keep pets or smoking in the bed . Affray, alcohol abuse and other bad behaviors are prohibited. Violators shall be given warning or expelled from school according to the circumstances.
6、各寝室要坚持卫生值日制度。做到地面无痰迹、无烟头、纸屑等污物，门窗洁净，桌椅整齐无灰尘。自觉维护走廊、楼梯、厕所的公共卫生。严禁向窗外倒水，丢杂物。
Each room must keep clean and tidy. The floor should be free of spittoon, cigarette butts, paper scraps and other filth. Doors and windows should be clean, tables and chairs should be neat and dust-free, and the public health of corridors, stairs and toilets should be maintained consciously. Do not pour water or litter out of the window.
7、不得在宿舍内从事影响他人学习和休息的活动，如跳舞、运动、酗酒、大声喧哗、放高声音乐等。
Do not engage in activities that affect studying and resting of your neighbors, such as dancing, doing sports, drinking, talking loudly, playing music loudly, etc.
8、因事外出，须于当天19：00提前返回学校。
If you are out on business, must return to school before 19:00 on the same day. Visitors are not allowed to stay in the rooms of international students after 21:00.
9、严禁外人进入国际学生宿舍内，不准私自在住处留宿外来人员。
visitors are not allowed to enter international students’ building.
10、在校学习期间，严禁非法同居。
Cohabitation is forbidden during the period of study.
11、禁止转让、出租、出借床位。
It is forbidden to transfer, rent or lend beds.
12、住宿的同学原则上不允许调换房间，如有特殊情况需要调换房间，请向国际教育学院提出申请，由管理人员视具体情况决定是否给予办理，否则，将视为违纪予以处罚。
In principle, the students are not allowed to change the room, if there are special circumstances that need to change rooms, please apply to the School of International Education; the management staff will deal with it according to the specific situation. Otherwise, you will be punished as violating the discipline.
13、国际学生应按学校统一安排在校内住宿，禁止在校外住宿。
International students are arranged to live on campus. They are not allowed to live off campus.
14、国际学生必须认真遵守以上各项规定，如有违反，学校将视情节轻重给予处罚。
Each student must comply with the above provisions. If there is any violation, the school will give a punishment according to the situation.
（二）生活管理规定Regulations on International Students’ Daily Life
1. 在华学习期间应遵守中华人民共和国的法律、法令和有关规定，不散布、不做有损于中国人民利益和两国人民友好的言论和行为。
The international students should abide by the Chinese law, decrees and other correlative regulations, the international students should not take any actions or say anything that is harmful to the friendship and interest between two countries.
2. 学校尊重国际学生的民族习俗和宗教信仰，经学校批准，国际学生可在学校指定地点庆祝本国重要传统节日，但不得有反对我国的内容或违反公共道德的言行，且严禁在校内进行传教和其它宗教宜传活动。
College will respect the international students' culture and religious belief. With the approval of the college, the international students have right to celebrate their traditional festival in a place appointed by the college, but the content cannot be against China or its public morality. Propaganda of religious and other related religious activities are forbidden.
3. 国际学生应积极参加学校组织的群众性活动，如：开学仪式、毕业典礼、运动会、劳动及文艺活动等。
The international students should attend any activity organized by Henan Polytechnic actively, such as opening and graduation ceremony, sport games, labor, art activities and so on.
4. 国际学生组织任何有中国师生参加的课外活动，需事先报告国际教育学院，经批准方能举行，必要时可予以协助。
If the international students want to organize any extracurricular activities, they must report to the School of International Education. After getting approval, they may conduct these activities. If necessary, the School of International Education will offer assistance.
5. 国际学生自行取、寄包裹，特殊情况国际教育学院可以协助，费用自理。
The international students should fetch and post packages by themselves. For the special reason, the School of International Education will offer the assistance, but the fees should be paid by international students.
6. 暑假期间离校回国或去其他地方旅游参观，须在离校前二周将事由、离返校时间、目的地、途径等报告国际教育学院，并按时返校，因特殊情况不能按时返校者，须及时通知校方。
Students needing to travel back home or other places outside of China must submit a request to the School of International Education. The written request must contain the following information: reason for the travel, the destination, the intended route, and the timelines (date of departure and date of return). This request must be submitted to the School of International Education two weeks prior to the intended departure date. If a student has difficulties in returning to the college on the intended return date, they must inform the School of International Education in time.
7. 国际学生在校学习期间不得就业、经商，或从事其他营利性活动。
During the period of study, it is forbidden for international students to obtain employment, be in business, or take any other activities for making profit.
8. 严格遵守交通规章制度，不使用摩托车、燃油助车和大功率电瓶车。严禁无照驾驶机动车，严禁酒后开车，严禁在校园内快速开车，严禁骑车带人。
Strictly comply with traffic rules and regulations. Do not ride motorcycles, fuel-powered moped and high-power battery bikes. Driving a motor-vehicle without license, driving a car after drinking, driving fast on campus, and carrying someone else while biking is all strictly prohibited.
9. 换汇一定要去银行，不要在私人商店或个人处换汇。在非正式营业点换汇是违法行为。
Do go to a bank for currency exchange; do not exchange currency with a private store or an individual. Currency exchange with an unauthorized store is an unlawful act.
10. 乘坐出租车一定要选择正规出租车公司的出租车，并索取发票，不要打“黑车”。
To take a taxi, do choose one affiliated to an accredited taxi firm and ask for a receipt. Do not take a taxi without certificate.
11. 不得在校园内燃放烟花爆竹，不得在校园内进行烧烤，不得在校园湖内捕鱼。
Do not set off fireworks and firecrackers, barbecue food or fishing on campus or in a dormitory.
12. 严禁到江、河、湖泊等非正规游泳场游泳，不到自然条件险恶的地方游玩。
Swimming at non-accredited swimming places like river, lake, and reservoir is strictly prohibited. Do not travel around a place in threatening natural conditions.
（三）相关证件办理规定Regulations on Going through Various Certificate Procedures for International Students
1.学生一卡通管理办法
Regulations on the management of student's card.
（1）学生一卡通是国际学生在校期间的身份证，在新生入学注册后由国际教育学院统一办理并发给国际学生。
The student's card will show that they are students of Henan Polytechnic. The student's card will be issued by the School of International Education and distributed to every foreign student, after the freshmen finish the registration formalities.
（2）一卡通遗失，由国际学生本人向相关部门提出补办申请，经同意后方可补办，补办一卡通手续费、工本费10元人民币。
If student's card is lost, he/she should apply for a new one by himself/herself in the belonged faculty. A new student's card will be issued by paying 10RMB for service fee and cost of the card.
（3）一卡通不准随意涂改或转借他人，如违反由此产生的一切后果由国际学生本人负责。
Student's card can’t be altered or lent to others. Any infringement of this rule is at the student's expense.
（4）国际学生在毕业、转学或退学时必须将一卡通交回。
International students should hand in the student's card when they graduate, transfer or leave the college.
2. 国际学生借阅图书管理办法
Regulations on the management of student's library card
（1）国际学生可凭一卡通在图书馆借阅图书。
International students can borrow books by student’s card from library.
（2）外借图书，须到服务台办理借阅手续。请勿将未办理手续的图书带出馆外，否则以偷窃图书论处。
International students who come to borrow books should transact the formalities at front desk. Resources of the library could not be taken away without borrowing process.
（3）外借文献应按期归还，超期未还者暂停借阅，每册按图书馆规定处以超期罚款。
Borrowed books should be returned on time, if exceeding the lending time limit, international students will be fined by the library.
（4）借阅文献时应对所借文献全面检查，如发现涂画、污损、缺页等情况，应向工作人员说明，并由工作人员加盖记号章。还书时发现上述情况，如未有记号章，概由读者本人负责，并按规定予以赔偿。
When borrowing books, international students should have a look at the possible broken pages, painting or dirty pages. If so, ask the library worker chapter with a sign. When returning books, international students shall pay compensation if the book contains broken pages, painting or dirty pages but without stamp.
（5）国际学生毕业、转学或退学时应先将所借图书及欠款还清，经图书馆盖章证明后，方可办理离校手续。
Before graduation, transferring or leaving the college, international students should return all books to the library and get stamped, and then they can finish the formalities.
（四）居留证及护照签证管理办法Regulations on the Management of Residence Card, Passport and Visa
1. 国际学生在河南职业技术学院学习期间可以参加勤工助学活动，但不得就业、经商或从事其他经营性活动。如到校外非法打工，个人将承担由此造成的不良后果和全部责任。
International students may participate in work-study activities while studying in Henan Polytechnic，but they may not be involved in employment, business or other business activities. If they work illegally out of campus, they will have to be liable for all possible serious consequences by yourself.
2. 持“X”字签证入境的国际学生必须在自入境之日起30日内，向郑州市公安局出入境管理部门申请办理《外国人居留证》,并提交相应的手续：护照原件及复印件、近期二寸半身正面免冠照片2张及相应的费用，然后申请办理《外国人居留证》。学生应自觉提前办理居留延期，如超过居留期限停留即为非法居住，郑州市出入境管理局将依法进行处罚。
If you hold an "X" visa to enter China, you must apply to Entry-Exit Administration Section of Zhengzhou Public Security Bureau to transact the "Foreigner Residence Card" within 30 days from the day you enter China, and hand in the relevant formalities: the original passport and hard copy, 2 two-inch photos and the fees. Any student who fails to obtain the required Residency Permit within the allotted time will be subject to fines and penalties in accordance to the law.
3. 来华国际学生申请居留证必须履行下列手续：
International students applying for the residence permit must complete the following formalities.
(1)交验护照、签证和居留事由有关的证明；
Hand in your passport, visa and the attestations related to the residence main content.
(2)填写居留申请表；
Fill in a residence application form.
(3)申请居留证要交验健康证明书，交近期二寸半身正面免冠照片2张。
Hand in the health certificate and 2 two-inch photos.
4. 在居留证上填写的项目内容如有变更，必须在10日内到郑州市公安局出入境管理部门办理变更手续。
If the content of the residence card has been altered, students must come to the Entry-Exit Administration Section of Zhengzhou Public Security Bureau to transact the alteration formalities within 10 days.
5. 国际学生转学至另一城市时，应当先在郑州市公安机关出入境管理部门办理迁出手续。到迁入地后，必须于10日内到迁入所在地公安机关出入境管理部门办理迁入手续。
The international students who want to continue the study in another university out of Zhengzhou should go to the Entry-Exit Administration Section of the Public Security Bureau of Zhengzhou to go through the formalities of moving out. On arrival at the other city, the students must go to the corresponding department within 10 days to go through the formalities of moving in.
6. 国际学生在学期间临时出境，必须在出境前办理再次入境手续。签证或居留证有效期满后仍需在华学习或停留的，必须在签证或居留证有效期满之前一个月办理延期手续。
If the students want to exit China temporarily during the period of study, they must go through the formalities of entry again before the exit. If the students want to continue study in China or just stay in China after the expiration of visa or residence permit, they must go through the formalities of postponing 1 month before the expiration date.
7. 外国国际学生毕业、结业、肄业、退学后、必须在规定的时间内出境。对受到河南职业技术学院勒令退学或开除学籍处分的国际学生，及时通知郑州市公安局出人境管理部门。郑州市公安局出入境管理部门依法收缴其所持外国人居留证或缩短其在华停留期。
After graduation, completing courses or expelled out of Henan Polytechnic, the international students must exit China during the regulated time. The Entry-Exit Administration Section of the Public Security Bureau of Zhengzhou will be immediately informed with the information of students who are expelled from the college and will take over the residence permit or shorten the period of stay in China.
8. 国际学生必须随身携带居留证件或者护照，以备外事民警查验。
International students must take the residence permits or passports with themselves for the check by the police at any time.
（五）旅游、离校的管理规定Regulations on Travelling and Leaving School
1. 旅游Traveling:
国际学生利用节假日到中国境内开放地区旅行时，应该向国际教育学院说明去向。旅行时要遵守公安局的有关规定，一切旅行手续和费用均需自理。根据我国公安局的规定，到开放城市和地区不需办理有关旅行证。到我国非开放地区旅行，必须办理有关旅行证。擅自到非开放地区属非法行为。
The students who want to visit the permitted regions for a journey on holidays must inform the School of International Education of the place they want to go and obey the related regulations formulated by the public security bureau of China. The expense of traveling will be paid by the students. According to the Public Security Bureau of China, there is no need to go through traveling formalities if taking a trip to the permitted regions. But traveling formalities are required if taking a trip to the region that is forbidden in China, or it will be illegal.
2. 离校Leaving school：
（1）国际学生离校(包括转学、休学、退学、毕业)，应持“离校通知书”到相关部门办理离校手续。
With the “notification of leaving school”, the students who want to leave school (including transfering to another school, suspending from school, dropping out of school, and graduating from school) should go to the related department to go through leaving formalities.
（2）休学、毕业或结业的外国国际学生需在两周内离校。
Students who have obtained approval for suspension, graduated or completed their studies must move out of the school within two weeks.
（3）退学、勒令退学、开除学籍的国际学生需在一周内离校。
Students who have withdrawn or are dismissed or expelled from schooling must leave school within one week after the notification of withdrawal, dismissal or expulsion is received.
（4）该离校但仍以各种理由滞留在学校者，滞留期间所发生的各种事情由学生自行承担。
Students who are supposed to leave school but still linger at the university shall be responsible for anything that happens to them.
六、校园安全服务Campus Security Service
（一）几项忠告Some Advice
1、随时和家人保持联系。让家人了解你在中国的学习生活状况，分享你的感受，互相给予更好的支持。
Keep in touch with your family. Let your family know about your study and life in China, share your feelings and give each other better support.
2、积极参加学校的各项活动。河南职业技术学院的同学都非常热情好客，也很乐于和留学生同学交流和提供帮助，同时，也希望你可以认真学习汉语，了解中国的历史文化，这样才能尽快地适应和融入新的环境。
Actively participate in the school activities. Students of Henan Polytechnic are very hospitable and willing to communicate and offer help to international students. At the same time, hope you can learn Chinese hard and understand Chinese history and culture, so that you can adapt to and integrate into the new environment as soon as possible.
3、认真阅读学校提供的资料，包括学校的入学须知，各项办事指南和规章制度等，这可以帮助你顺利地度过在华学习和生活时光，避免不必要的麻烦。如果你有不理解或者不清楚的问题，随时可以咨询国际教育学院的老师。
Read the materials provided by the university carefully, including the admission instructions, guidelines, rules and regulations of the university, which will help you to spend your study and life in China smoothly and avoid unnecessary trouble. If you have any questions that you don't understand, please do not hesitate to consult the staff at the school of international education.
（二）医疗及保险Medical Treatment and Insurance
1、医疗:国际学生患病可到校医院或其它医院就诊，一切费用自理。如有紧急需要，可拨打急救电话：120。
The students who suffer illness can visit the doctors in the affiliated hospital or any other hospitals in Zhengzhou at their own expense. If there is urgent need, emergency telephone is available: 120.
2、国际学生必须在到达中国开始留学之日起购买保险，一切费用自理。
The students must buy insurance at their own expense once arrive at Henan Polytechnic.
医疗及保险Medical Treatment and Insurance recommendation
依据中国教育部规定，来华留学生必须购买中国境内的医疗保险，用于支付可能出现的意外伤害的费用以及大病住院的医疗费用，以及在紧急情况下提供医疗救助。
教育部推荐的医疗保险为中国平安保险公司“来华人员综合保险保障计划”团体险，费用为800元/12个月，400元/6个月。基本涵盖了中国境内（不含港澳台）公立医院的意外伤害医疗费用和大病住院的医疗费用，并且提供紧急医疗救援服务。
学生可于报到注册当日，在报到处购买中国平安保险公司提供的医疗保险。同时保险公司将提供保险服务卡（如图），学生可拨打400-810-5119进行咨询、理赔的业务。对于没有购买所要求的医疗保险者，学校将不予办理注册手续。
Medical Insurance
According to the regulation of Ministry of Education of China, the international students have to buy medical insurance in China for paying the cost of any possible accident and the medical expenses of major diseases in hospital. Besides, the insurance also can offer medical aid in an emergency. On the registration day, students can buy the medical insurance from Ping An Insurance Company of China when register. The company will provide insurance service card and the number 400-810-5119 is for consulting and claims. Students without the required insurance cannot register.
The medical insurance recommended by Ministry of Education “Comprehensive Insurance& Protection Scheme for foreigners Staying in China” of Ping An Insurance Company.
Premium: RMB 800/12 months, RMB 400/6 months. This insurance basically covers the fees of accidental injury in public hospitals and major diseases in the hospitals of mainland China (excludes Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan). Additionally, it provides the service of emergent medical aids.
